Judith Nicholls is one of England's best-known children's poets. She has written over fifty poetry collections and her work is regularly broadcast on BBC Radio for Schools. Judith has three children and six grandchildren and lives in Wiltshire, England.

Beth Krommes jumped at the opportunity to research and represent different places and peoples for 'The Barefoot Book of Earth Poems'. Beth creates her artwork by scratching lines into scratchboard with a nib, transferring the image to paper and adding watercolour. Beth won the Caldecott Award for 'The House at Night.'
