AUTHOR:
Catherine Chambers was born in Australia, spent her childhood in England and has also lived in Nigeria and Portugal. After completing a degree in Swahili and African history at SOAS, University of London, Catherine went on to become an editor of educational books for Africa and the Caribbean. She draws her inspiration from her sons, her husband's photographs and her travels.

Caroline Mockford worked as a primary school teacher in England before turning her attention to a career as a children's book illustrator. As well as illustrating 'The Elephants' Ears', she has created the Cleo series for Barefoot Books.
