AUTHOR:
Simon Sandys-Winsch acquired his degree in History and International Politics at Aberystwyth University before becoming a teacher of history at various schools including one in Kenya and another in New Zealand. As a teacher, he realised the necessity of trying to provide lessons that delivered the key information in a way that was fun and easy to understand. After leaving the teaching, he wrote his first book, The Illustrated Tudor Dictionary, inspired by R.J. Unstead’s Dictionary of History (1976) which he discovered on the day he walked into his first classroom.
