Gaia Guasti was born in Florence and, when she was 18, she moved to Paris. Since then she has never left France, where she works as a screenwriter and a novelist. All of her novels are published in France by Thierry Magnier. Camelozampa translated two novels of hers, Lettres d’un mauvais élève and Mayo, ketchup ou lait de soja, that was shortlisted at Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi award.
Simona Mulazzani after studying art, worked in a graphic studio where she collaborated to make advertising spots and show tunes. Since 1994 she has illustrated more than a hundred children books, including the Italian editions of Luis Sepulveda’s books, for many publishers such as Mondadori, Salani, Einaudi, Rizzoli, Topipittori, and from all over the world, like Bayard, Sterling Publishing, Chronicle books, Penguin Random House. She was awarded many prizes, including the Silver Medal, Society of Illustration di New York, 2005 and Premio Andersen as Best Illustrator in 2016.
